1300 Stock Cars World Championship 2001 - Super Rods - Legends - Unlimited Bangers

Results

1300 Stock Cars

A sixty car turnout, loads of cars in each race - a monster 44 cars in the World Final - and the 1300s really showed what they are capable of!  Also good to see was that the local lads stood their ground against the massive invasion of visitors with #101 Davy Evans picking up a very good fourth in the big race.  However, '72 Colin Goodswen was not to be outdone in the big one driving a near faultless race to take the glory.

Super Rods

The ten big saloons present put on some fine racing and after Dave Roberts was held up by a backmarker #112 Hoss Parry snatched the final on the line by a hairsbreadth.  It really was as close as that!

Unlimited Bangers

A small field of Unlimited Bangers but those that did attend oozed quality not only in the driving and entertainment stakes but also in the material department.  Being a non-Ford session brought out two P5s, Mark X and a Mark II Jags as well as a several XJs and a big Toyota.  Points were at a premium in the Incarace Championship. John Golden won the DD as well as the Most Destructed Driver in his very tough car.
