A dry, warm and pleasant evening and a very good line-up ensured a fine evening's racing.

Controversy reined in the National Hot Rods as #718 Colin White was disqualified from the Final following an incident which saw #491 Colin Smith end up in the armco on the back straight. #662 Keith Chesher held on to take the chequered flag on the restart.

Close on sixty cars again in the F2s ensured another high quality race session in which #257 Jason Griffiths came out tops.

It was pleasing to see a couple of new drivers in the Legends class including #208 Dave Weaver of Stock Rod fame. Jason Cooper came out tops with a heat and final win.

Last but by no means least were the Micro-Bangers, the 2000 variation of the former Metro Bangers. There were about 35 cars leading to lots of incident packed racing. Some interesting car types were raced including a 1969 Austin A40, a couple of Fiat Pandas - which I have never seen raced before - including one 4x4! It was perhaps fitting that the winner of the DD was that newly discovered TV star from Central Weekend #14 Nutty Nige driving an old Toyota.

A good meeting.
