Palmerston North
International Sprintcar Series
01 January 2010
Reporting and pictures by Mike Pollard

Nice to see ex F2 pilot Jamie Bago out in the Stockcars, wearing #42p, but the crowd was here to see the international Sprintcar Series, the Palmerston round of which is now a qualifier for the World Sprintcar Challenge at Knoxville in August.

The 1st top class Outlaw to visit here was #10usa Ricky Logan, who came, saw and conquered. then came Dollansky, who flew round the arena (in every sense of the word). Tonight it was the turn of the Master himself; #7usa Sammy Swindell.

Right from the get-go Swindell was in the groove and the 53yr old was soon giving a Masterclass on how to drive a Sprintcar.

At the end of the night it was no surprise to see the Outlaw Americans head the entire field, led of course by the amazing Sammy Swindell.
