Fundraiser Fun Day
Words by Mike Pollard and pictures by Mike Pollard / Beatle

Well after saying that this outlaw track is little used, I find myself back here for the 2nd time in as many weeks!

Bevan "the Banger Man" Johnston organized this event at short notice as a Fun Day, with the proceeds going to a driver who was injured in a recent Demolition Derby.

Drivers from Hawkes Bay, Palmerston North, Wanganui and Wellington making the trip to the functional but fabulous Longacre Outlaw Speedway at Ohakea.

Many thanks to Beatle Tarrant for the loan of the #42 Takapau Farm Kill Car, allowing me to compete in a couple of races. it was the most fun I've had since I drove the wife's car around Crewe. Shhhh she still doesn't know!

A big thumbs up to Bevan as well for putting on the show ....... it was much appreciated.
