An excellent session and to help celebrate the Golden Jubilee several differences to the normal F1 format.  These included the special Golden Jubilee race format which sees the heats with reversed grids not in grades but with a closed formation.  The non qualifiers then race in a last chance Consolation Final with the frontrunners earning a place on the back of the Golden Jubilee Final race.   In my opinion this format provided something different from the norm and produced some fine racing during the evening.  Other things that spring to mind are the excellent souvenir programme, Roy Clarke's veteran stock car acting as Pace Car (something that seemed to work well throughout the evening), the wonderful year-by-year models of all the World Championship winners and all topped off with an 80 car F2 Qualifying Round.
