NIR is a hugely popular venue for motor racing fans hosting regular events for the BriSCA Formula 1 and Formula 2 Stock Cars, Outlaw Hot Rods, Stock Rods, Lightning Rods, Legends and Rebel Racers.

NIR is also well known for its dare-devil Banger racing. Cars smash, crash and fly through
the air, creating a breathtaking spectacle.  Rookie Bangers complete the line-up.   Take a look at these if you would like to try your hand at oval racing.

You will find all the facilities to make your day complete including a licensed bar, freshly-cooked food, track shop, ample free parking and great views of the entire circuit.

Practice at NIR: Each Wednesday between 9.30am and 4.30pm at a cost of £35 per day.  There will normally be another day for practice each week, and enquiries should be made regarding this day (which will vary) by phoning 01604 870206.  This number should also be used to book in for ALL practice sessions at NIR.  The track is also available for exclusive hire on other days of the week - contact the INCARACE office for details.

Drivers Licence: To drive regularly at our tracks you will need a full INCARACE Licence. This entitles you to race at all ORC tracks in the UK, Belgium and Holland.
Licenced drivers get their own racing number, log book, newsletters and grading lists; they may race at all relevant Incarace meetings and qualifiers attend championships at other Oval promotions. Day Licenses are also available from the office, at least 7 days in advance.

How to Find Northampton International Raceway

NIR is located approximately five miles from Northampton. Travel along the A428 from Northampton towards Bedford and head for the village of Brafield-on-the-Green. Then take the turn on the right towards Horton. The Raceway is on the right before reaching Horton.
