35 degrees in the furnace that is Ferndene Park Speedway, but the track had the biggest water truck I'd ever seen, which meant that it managed to be both dusty and wet at the same time! The ground was moving as well, but that turned out to be the thunder down under, as the Derby Teams came together to do battle for the NZ Champs in Tournament of Destruction x.

New teams (to me) included; the Ferndene Vultures and Dads Army from New Plymouth. two teams who equiped themselves well, especially the Dads Army squad and #115 Adam Reed in particular, who rolled, rolled and rolled again, and still came back for more. The once smart looking car ending up looking like the ball in Stockcar Soccer!
