and 46 Maverick & 520 The Undertaker were all on fine form at the 2005 Hednesford Pre
'68. The former was the star performer in the Over's category for the second year running,
racing & wrecking all day in his DS420 Hearse before the latter two were star
performers in the Under's. Maverick sealing the DD win with a roll to the only other
remaining runner. Over 105 cars took part over the two classes, 172 Simon Byrne taking the
win in the hotly Contested unders, 315 Jason Ayles bagging the overs in his flying Austin
3 Litre. |

CHAMPIONSHIPS
The National Team Championship always draws plenty of drivers & fans
to Hednesford Hills and 2005 was no exception. Over 160 cars spread over 30 teams took to
the track over 9 races and 2 Destruction Derbys and still the points were only decided on
the last race of the day when Team V took the title from previous winners the Mildenhall
Fen Tigers by a single point. It was a day of full on action as well, 400 Shinny being in
the thick of things as usual with a hard-core demolition of 298 John Gardner in the
opening heats.
