The first Friday night Coventry session of 2007 and also the first meeting promoted in association with Incarace. The meeting looked quite demanding on paper with five race classes (including the two varieties of BriSCA Heritage Stock Cars) but in fact ran very smoothly indeed. The debut of the Lightning Rods was the big talking point and they proved well-suited to the shale surface with some very spectacular sideways action. There was a 40+ turnout in the Bangers including a big Stinkbridge presence which resulted in some spectacular race action throughout the evening. The BriSCA Heritage cars were out in-force with around 20 of the F2 category and a fine sight they looked too racing around the Brandon Bowl. The National Ministox completed the menu with sufficient cars for a two-thirds format.

An excellent meeting and over the coming months there will be an opportunity to see a host of different race classes on the Coventry Shaleway. There are two Friday sessions in June, on Friday 8 and 29.
